Freelance Platform Specialist
About the Role
Scan freelance marketplaces like Upwork and Contra for high-potential software development, mobile application, and website projects. Craft specific, well-reasoned proposals that directly address the client's problem, rather than sending automated templates. When clients show interest, coordinate with our engineering leadership on technical feasibility and pricing, then guide them to a formal contract. You earn 5% of client payments received on projects won through your proposals for 12 months, calculated after marketplace platform fees and excluding GST or pass-through expenses. Commission is paid monthly within 15 days of client payment release. Independent contract role with no fixed salary.
Responsibilities
- —Monitor freelance platforms daily to identify high-quality postings matching Webxela's capabilities.
- —Analyze project briefs and write personalized, substantive proposals explaining our technical approach.
- —Respond quickly to initial client replies, questions, and interview invitations.
- —Work with engineering leadership to establish delivery timelines, milestones, and accurate bid amounts.
- —Guide prospective clients from initial chat to an active milestone contract on the platform.
- —Log submitted proposals, active conversations, and contract statuses in the shared tracker.
Requirements
- —Demonstrated experience writing winning proposals on platforms like Upwork or Contra.
- —Ability to write clear, persuasive English without relying on canned AI boilerplate.
- —Solid comprehension of web and software terminology (tech stacks, databases, responsive design, cloud deployments).
- —Fast response times during active client discussions.
- —Comfortable with an independent, commission-only model.
